 C-Section

I arrived at the hospital around 1:30pm Friday, June 22. Once I got admitted to Room 7 :) I was given 3 doses of Misoproxin (1 dose every 4 hours to soften my cervix) At around 5:00am on Saturday my water broke on its own and I went into labor. Praise God! I made it to 9.5 cm on my own without an epidural...Thanks to my coaches Tommy and my friend Heather. Then I felt the urge to push, so the nurse had me push for an hour while trying to push the lip of my cervix to open me up to 10cm. My contractions began to get farther apart instead of closer together. At this point I chose to have Pitocin to speed up my contractions. Pitocin definitely did just that and I felt the urge to push even more. Therefore, my cervix became more swollen. At this point I chose to have a C Section. At 5:00am Sunday morning the Dr. began the procedure and Thomas was born at 5:20am!
