what not to do
Last week I was packing up an event for my job with KiddieCorp. I forgot I had scissors, so I went to tear the packing tape with my teeth and the tape got stuck on my lip. I tore the tape off my lip tearing the top layer of skin. My lip began to bleed and then began to heal itself over the next week. I looked like I had a cold sore and it hurt like heck. The next time I pack boxes the tape will not go anywhere near my lips.

sick...again
Now I have the flu. I have aches and pains and a fever along with another symptom of which I won't share. I called the doctor to see if there was any relation to the sigmoidoscopy that I had on Thursday. She said that it sounded like the flu and it just so happened to hit my system after the procedure.
My time is up working with my 1st graders. The teacher returns on Monday for a transition day. I will also be there on Tuesday for report cards. I pray that my health will be renewed, so that I will have the energy to teach and complete report cards. Spring Break is coming up and I am really excited, because I'll be able to relax...yah right! I won't be around young children who expose you to so many illnesses. I will miss them as I hope they'll miss me, but I am glad to move on and have 2 weeks to catch up on life.
Sorry Rachel, but I won't be able to make the birthday party as I don't want to get everyone sick. Tommy will hopefully be there. Tell everyone I said hello!

healthy
I am finally up to par! I feel healthy and relieved that I am not sick anymore. I am also excited about my day off tomorrow! Today Tommy and I went to church. After church I went hiking up Cowles Mtn. with my friend Kristen. It was really hot, but a good workout. I brought Submarina home for lunch and relaxed after taking a shower. Next weekend I am going to Sacramento with my mom to see my nephew. I can't wait!

sick
I am sick again. :\ My profession as a teacher results in sick days. I work with 20 - 6 and 7 year olds who have runny noses, continuous coughs and sneezes, and wipe their boogers on everything! I use antibacterial gel daily on my students and wash my hands whenever I can. This time, I have no voice and cold like symptoms. I worked Mon-Wed. this week without a voice. That was fun! I decided to take Thurs. and Fri. off to recuperate. Monday and Tuesday I felt fine except for the fact that I couldn't talk. Today I woke up with a drip in my throat, sneezing, coughing, and a runny nose. I came home from work and made myself some hot tea. (thanks Rachel for the introduction!) Tommy came home from work today, ate dinner, and now he is at band practice. I am trying to rest, but it is very difficult. I always have to be doing something. For all those people who are sick I pray that you get better, because sick does not = fun. Back to work on Monday. Hopefully my classroom doesn't look like a tornado hit. :)
